CIBSE TM52 has been published and recognised as an approved overheating standard for a number of years, yet many designers have continued to use previous guidance which focuses on fixed numerical conditions.
Updates to planning and environmental standards including the London Plan and BREEAM have aligned their criteria for overheating with the TM52 document and subsequently the document has become more widely recognised.
