Our community buildings provide a focus for people, a place to meet and engage with one another.

Community buildings
Community buildings covers a broad range of our projects. Libraries, Churches, Sports Venues, Theatres and Conference Halls are all enjoyed by the public and often overlap with our other sectors.
The Rose Hill Community Centre for example includes a community room and bar for functions, a hall for weddings and public events, sports changing rooms for nearby pitches, a gym and health centre.
Imagine the design involved in managing the energy metering for numerous tenants and the access control required for the various users – we rise to the challenge!

The Cartoon Museum
QODA were responsible for the mechanical and electrical services design and worked closely with Sam Jacob Studios to integrate the MEP services into the architecture, which maintains the language of cartoons and comics throughout the museum. The project includes new exhibition spaces to showcase ‘the best of British cartoons, caricatures, comics and animation’ as well as a new shop, learning centre to encourage young people to explore their creativity and an Archive space. Our designs included flexible environmental controls to allow adaption of the spaces to suit different exhibitions.
Our Work
“The team at QODA has always demonstrated a sound understanding of our technical and commercial issues. They produce the right information at the right time.”
