The Round Chapel, Hackney
QODA were appointed as M&E services engineers by Hackney Historic Buildings Trust for the project at The Round Chapel. The Round Chapel is a Grade II listed building which is rented out for concerts, film/music shoots, theatre performances, and weddings. The project involved the design and installation of ventilation, heating and energy conservation measures to heat the main space which was previously only heated by temporary electric heaters.
The Forge, Bradford Street, Birmingham
QODA have been appointed by developers BJD, as Electrical & Sustainability services consultants, for the Forge Development located in Bradford Street, Birmingham. This project comprises of a six-storey apartment block with a total of 165 No one and two bedroom apartments. The site has communal areas, an inner courtyard, and parking. QODA have been appointed by the M&E Contractor to undertake their full MEP detailed design for the development and have carried out the SAP calculations and liaison with the utilities for the new supplies.6
Court Place Gardens
QODA have been appointed as the M&E and Passivhaus consultants for a 90-home residential scheme for the University of Oxford. The scheme aims to achieve Net Zero Carbon for the site by adopting the Passivhaus standard, combined with renewable energy systems. In our role as Passivhaus consultant we are advising on massing, form, and construction method for the dwellings, as well as developing a simple and cost-effective approach to renewable energy.
