Bristol Bike Project – Community Engagement

QODA has recently provided our services for free to the charity Bristol Bike Project. To help provide others with sustainable sources of transport QODA supplied pre-planning advice, Building Services and sustainability designs for the new workshop for the Bristol Bike Project.

Bristol Bike Project is a member-led co-operative repairing and rehoming bicycles within the local community. Teaching mechanical skills and the basics of bike maintenance, the project aims to benefit marginalised and disadvantaged groups who would benefit from owning their own bike. This is particularly the case for people who can’t afford a car or public transport.

The project will make use of the existing undercroft spaces in the central location of Castle Park, Bristol, which will be fully refurbished. The aspirations of the project are to provide a very low energy system for the spaces with heating source using air source heat pumps.
