The new £4.5m state-of-the-art integrated rehabilitation centre at AECC University College is part of the Parkwood Road campus in Bournemouth. AECC University College is a specialist health sciences higher education institution. The new facility focuses on delivering outstanding rehabilitation support for musculoskeletal injuries and impairments, and offers education, training, research and clinical services. The rehabilitation centre replaces the previously demolished Sports Hall and links to an existing building on site, where accessibility between the buildings was developed.

The rehabilitation centre includes a modern rehabilitation space with specialist rehabilitation equipment as well as 10 private consultation rooms. The centre provides care and support for patients across a variety of healthcare including Orthopaedic, Sport injury, rheumatological, pain management, and psychological wellbeing.

QODA produced the performance (Stage 3) MEP design and worked closely with both the client and contractors to deliver a successful project.

The fully integrated rehabilitation clinic is run by AECC US staff together with NHS partners. The project was funded through the The Dorset LEP as part of the Government’s Getting Building Fund.
