Overview
QODA was appointed to deliver the detailed mechanical and electrical design and construction drawings for The Gantry, a landmark £77m mixed-use hospitality development in Stratford, East London. The scheme combines two distinct hotel offers within a single, cohesive development:
Hilton Curio Hotel: 285 bedrooms across 18 storeys.
Adagio Aparthotel: 136 long-stay rooms across 17 storeys.
The lower levels feature vibrant bars and restaurants, creating a dynamic social hub in the heart of Stratford.
Project vision
The Gantry was designed to provide premium hospitality experiences for both short-stay and long-stay guests, while meeting energy efficiency targets and integrating with the Olympic Park District Energy Scheme for low-carbon heating and hot water.
Key features
District Energy Connection:
All space heating and domestic hot water supplied from a low-carbon district heating network.
Dual Hotel Systems:
Hilton Curio:
- Cooling via two vapour compression chillers serving a chilled water circuit.
- Heating via LTHW from district energy distributed to fan coil units.
Adagio Aparthotel:
- Heating and cooling via VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system with fan coils for responsive comfort control.
- Integrated Design: Building services coordinated to meet brand standards and operational efficiency.

QODA delivered detailed MEP design and construction drawings for both hotel brands within The Gantry development, ensuring seamless integration of building services into the architectural design.
