Welcome to our new Director of Sustainability!

We are delighted to announce that Susan Hone-Brookes has now joined QODA Consulting. Susan will take up the new role – Director of Sustainability and spearhead our developing growth in this area of our business.
Susan commented: “ I’m delighted to have been given this opportunity. The experience and capability of the QODA sustainability team are phenomenal, coupled with the vision to ‘build the future’, which I’m sure will prove unstoppable. I’m looking forward to the journey.

As Director of Sustainability, Susan brings a wealth of skills which have been developed over many years within the construction industry. Susan has collaborated across industry and with government to promote low-carbon and low-energy construction solutions. She is a chartered engineer and served on the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) board in both Board and Vice-President capacities. She has experience delivering strategic sustainability advice to clients constructing large-scale developments and creating bespoke ‘sustainability tool kits.’ During her work with a government catapult, Susan advised government, industry, and academic institutions on transforming to adopt new technologies. Whilst in this role, she led the Infrastructure Industry Innovation Partnership (i3P), which successfully developed a technology road map for the industry, a key part in securing the UK’s first ‘Construction Sector Deal’. She has represented the industry on many key document developments, including the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) ‘Whole life carbon assessment for the Built Environment’ and the CIBSE Sustainability guide, which she wrote the foreword.
