Set up in 2011 by Nick Carter and Matt Tyrrell, QODA now has offices in Oxfordshire, London, Bristol, Norwich, and Cambridge. Everyone who works for our team shares our vision for a more human approach to design and construction.
Our key skills centre around engineering in the built environment. We help our clients solve development issues such as infrastructure planning, building design and refurbishment by giving expert advice and design support. Our work covers everything from initial surveys and analysis, modelling, detailed design and beyond.
Our team has grown substantially to include expertise in all the key areas of building services, but we still retain the principles and energy of a start-up. That means always being able to offer our clients a hands-on service at a senior level.

At QODA, we appreciate the demands placed on today’s building designers are more challenging than ever. With enviable experience in a range of sectors, we play a key supporting role in building services. We expertly address the issues and help the design team to make informed choices and produce the best architecture possible.
Skilful infrastructure design is a particular area of strength for QODA. We have expertise in system capacities, reinforcement and negotiating with statutory authorities, and take pride in the huge sustainability impact we can make when working at a community scale.
As in most industries, the skills required from building services consultants are constantly changing with the introduction of new technologies. At QODA, we consistently remain ahead of the curve, offering our clients the highest levels of BIM 3D software tools, lighting design, early environmental analysis and carbon/energy modelling.
BIM services have become an essential skill for leading building design consultants. As well as having our own hands-on expertise in this area, QODA can also act as your BIM co-ordinator (which we did recently on the Rose Hill Community Centre project). This involves working closely with the BIM information manager to create and implement documents, delivery plans and modelling processes.
